Wired and wireless connections in residence halls and University-owned living units

DePauw’s Electronic and Acceptable Use Policy enables DePauw students to connect their own permitted devices to the campus network. All DePauw residence halls and University-owned living units are equipped with Internet connectivity.

* Wired data jacks are not active unless requested. To request a wired data jack be activated for permitted devices, complete the Wired Connection Request for a Living Unit form and submit a clear picture of the front and back of your device to HelpDesk@depauw.edu.

Older access points

If you have a data jack like the following picture (typically orange and the numbers are usually written on the wall outlet beginning with “D”), you will need to provide the Data jack # on the Wired Connection Request for a Living Unit form.

Newer Aruba access points

If you have an Aruba access point like the following picture, you will plug your system into ports on it and you do not need to provide a Data jack # on the Wired Connection Request for a Living Unit form.
